The second conference on Green Energy and Sustainability in Accommodation Establishments was held in Arrecife with special focus on renovating the accommodation on offer.
ASOLAN’s chairperson, Susana Pérez, opened the series of conferences welcoming a large number of companies and establishments together with experts in various fields who presented the wide range of technology available to help implement sustainable systems, optimise resources and manage projects efficiently in order to increase productivity and improve performance, all of which helps a tourist destination become more competitive and enhance the quality of its services.
ASOLAN has a clear commitment to green energy and sustainability in the tourism sector, which is why its Centre for Innovation and Business Development (CIDE) has made it a priority in its action plan and has organised this conference alongside implementing other initiatives to highlight the importance of sustainability such as creating the Sustainable Accommodation Group (GAS) and the Biosphere Smart Hotel certification project.
