Starts in July and will conclude at the end of this year.
In this International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, the UN wants to sensitize both public officials and the general public about the contribution of sustainable tourism for development, by encouraging the groups involved to work together in order to “make tourism a catalyst for positive change”.
As a driving force for this change and advocating for the fulfillment in Lanzarote of the afore mentioned UN declaration, the Reserve Office launches this project with which it also intends to transfer the insular tourist sector, mainly to housing and starting with the nucleus more mature tourism of the island, the concept of Biosphere Reserve and the contents of the Lanzarote 2020 Strategy, especially the implication in the Change of the Energy Model.
