The Council of Lanzarote has launched a new campaign of awareness and information about ‘La Graciosa 100% Sustainable’
This project began in 2010 with diverse activities, mostly studies, projects and investments on the island for energy sustainability.
The Insular Corporation reminds that the Council, together with the Government of the Canary Island and the City Council of Teguise, have pushed to implement this type of alternative energies on the island of La Graciosa. Since 2010 as a result of this strategy, the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands and Endesa, promote on the island the installation of a smart micro net consisting of a located electronic net containing both the supply of electricity and the technology to manage it. Most of the electricity of a micro net is generated and distributed locally.
