The Adecco Foundation has highlighted the need to invest in accessibility, not only in the interests of social justice, but also of profitability.
Accessibility is the key to increasing the volume of tourists, addressing the seasonal nature of the sector, and to generating sustainable jobs that provide workers with more income throughout the year, as opposed to being unemployed out of season.
This season we have witnessed a downturn in tourism in Spain. Therefore, establishing a roadmap that leads to recovering levels of tourism enjoyed in previous years is absolutely essential. Measures under discussion include diversifying flows, boosting digital sales and increasing the quality of tourism on offer.
To this end accessibility has become a fundamental requirement to benchmark the quality of tourist services.
