Fuengirola and La Graciosa promote accessible beaches

The beach of Las Gaviotas has a space for people with reduced mobility who every day use an average of 40 users

Many tourist destinations have created infrastructures to make their beaches more accessible. This is the case of Fuengirola (Costa del Sol), which has areas specially adapted for people with disabilities on its coast. The same happens on the island of La Graciosa (Canary Islands), which already has an amphibious wheelchair that will make the sandy beaches of the Eight Island Canary Islands more accessible.

On the beaches of La Graciosa, especially the del Veril, in Caleta de Sebo, people with disabilities or mobility problems, even mild or temporary, can also enjoy a pleasant and safe bath. The amphibious chair is designed for water and also for its movement in the sand. It is submersible, resistant to the sea and offers stability and confidence to the bather.
