The last quarter of 2017 full of sustainable activities at Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort

In addition to the activities within the Sustainable Accommodation Group (GAS), Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort develops a broad sustainable activity towards its nearest environment. As an example of this initiative, different activities have been carried out in the last four months of the year.

The month of September had a high sustainable activity in the complex, with the completion of
the ‘1st Open Door Days ‘’Only’’ for our clients’, where they could learn cardiovascular resuscitation
(CPR) techniques only with hands, both for adults and for children.

They also received the Thomas Cook TTOO award “Sunny Heart 2016 “, thanks to the care that
customers have received from all our staff. In this same period they donated more than 100kg of
clothing from lost items to the association Calor y Café.

During this month of September we continued with the collaboration with the City Council of
Yaiza, hosting some of the stars that performed at the Feast of Our Lady of the
Remedies for the fifth consecutive year.

During the days 27,28,29,30 and October 31, coinciding with the Halloween bank holiday,
Sandos Papagayo reached a € 500 donation for a great solidarity challenge with Save The
Children. The modality was 1 + 1, which means that, for each euro donated by each client, the
Hotel donated another.

We have collaborated one more year with GULL-LASEGUE, which three years ago inaugurated the
First day center in the Province of Las Palmas De Gran Canaria for behavioral disorders
(Anorexia and Bulimia) and after this time the results are very satisfactory for all those who form
GULL-LASEGUE so they are trying to address Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and again asked for the
collaboration of Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort for the charity bingo lunch that took place
on November 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at the Real Club Nautico. A gift voucher for a two night stay was the
contribution.

The Canary Foundation Flora carries out the “Social Inclusion, Homeless People” Program on the
island of Lanzarote”. It is an entity of social initiative, non profit, independent and of plural regional scope. This year, Sandos Papagayo, had the pleasure of collaborating with this
Association with 50 Kilos of roasted turkey with its garnish.

All this without leaving aside the wide involvement of Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort in the GAS,
where he participated in the Solidarity Caps Campaign and in the Christmas Toy Collection Campaign, always demonstrating its great involvement with sustainability and the community of Lanzarote.
