The City Council of Lanzarote encourages people and entities on the island to join the initiative “One Million for Climate”.

The Office of the Biosphere Reserve adheres to the collective challenge, driven, among others, by the Ministry of Environment against Climate Change.

The project has as an objective that this collective community grows and adds thousands of social, economic and institutional actors to achieve gathering 1 million commitments and actions for the climate.

The City Council of Lanzarote, through the Office of the Biosphere Reserve chaired by the president of the first insular Corporation, Pedro San Gines, encourages different social, economic and institutional actors to join the initiative and engage against Climate Change “One Million for the Climate”. This project is sponsored and promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the Biosdiversidad Foundation, Save Horizon, the organisation Ecodes and the consulting INECO through the web http: //www.unmillonporelclima.es/.

This collective challenge is aimed at both the general population and to organisations committed to the environment and climate change, including the City Council of Lanzarote and Biosphere Reserve.
