The Teguise I Wind Farm is located on the northwest mountainside of Zonzamas. There will be four wind turbines 85 meters high and with a rotor diameter of 71 meters.

Its expected power is 28,605 Mwh / year. Once it is fully operational and thanks to having obtained the quota of the Ministry and the registration of specific remuneration regime for new wind and photovoltaic installations in the electrical systems of the non-peninsular territories, it will be possible to sell the surplus energy to the network at a very beneficial rate.

It is the first time that the E-Ship vessel of the company Enercon, specialized in the transport of components, arrives in the Canary Islands. It´s characterized not only because it transports clean energies, but because it uses the wind to support the propulsion system, which not only means a 15% annual saving of fuel compared to another vessel with similar characteristics, but also avoids the emission of more than 5,000 tons to the atmosphere per year.
