The spectators of the International Channel and TVE La 2 discovered past Wednesday, June 7, the most renewable Lanzarote through the wind farm of Punta de los Vientos.
One of the aspects covered in this report is the annual energy production of this wind farm, which serves to desalinate the water that more tan 50,000 people consumed in a year and produces 20% of the energy needed to desalinate water.
A great fact that deserves to be highlighted, desalination is the first consumer of fossil fuels and the largest electricity bill on the island of Lanzarote.
As stated in the documentary, Lanzarote’s aims is to continue increasing clean energy generation facilities on the island and to achieve a 100% sustainable Lanzarote.
